Spreading the message of good health amongst children.
|
We recently initiated a campaign against child obesity in Cochin, India. The campaign was led by Zuari Cement in association with local government authorities and members of Rotary District 3201.
On the World Heart Day we co-sponsored the “Fit not Fat Campaign 2008” a marathon where nearly 2500-3000 children of various schools in Cochin took part.

This ensured greater visibility for the Zuari brand and helped build a positive image of the company amongst its customers. |

All India Seminar organized by the Indian Concrete Institute

We had participated in the recent All India Seminar organized by the Indian Concrete Institute along with Civil Engineering wing of the Bangalore University. We could partake in the seminar and also utilized the exhibition space to our advantage.

| The Specifiers, civil engineering faculty and students along with related industry officials attended the Seminar .Our topic was the “Smog eating cement” which was received well and lead to a lot of interest generation from the attendees. |
State level recognition to Sitapuram unit-Limestone Mines, for the year 2008.

Indian Bureau of Mines, Hyderabad conducts every alternate year, “Mines Environment and Mineral conservation week” to promote awareness among all mining industries to protect environment and mineral conservation including community development.
Sitapuram Unit has been judged “FIRST in COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FOR THE YEAR 2008”. |

Indian Bureau of Mines , Hyderabad during the “Mines Safety week” presented the honors. Director General of Mines (Safety) along with other cement mines representatives visited all the cement plants and concluded the following awards.
