Three Years Safe and Counting – Chennai Grinding

We at Zuari Cement proclaim that, we follow a comprehensive safety policy, reflecting on all our activities as an integral part of the operations; thus making our plants a safe work place for all our employees and stakeholders. 

Zuari Cement setting up the largest port based cement terminal in Kochi, Kerala
Zuari Cement Limited is setting up the largest port based cement packing terminal at Kochi Port Trust, Ernakulam wharf, Kerala. The unit will have a capacity of 1 Million tonne of cement per annum, expected to be operational by the third quarter of 2015. This plant envisages an investment of 15 Million Euros and will be strategically a very important investment in India.

Best Safety Practices in Cement Sector – Seminar, at Zuari Cement – Head Quarters
The Seminar on ‘Best Safety Practices in Cement Sector’ was hosted by Zuari Cement at our Head Quarters, in Bangalore.
The event sponsored by Zuari Cement was a grand success with enthusiastic participation of Safety Professionals from south Indian Cement cluster. The event conducted on 16th April 2014 witnessed participants from 7 Cement majors; as in ACC, Bharathi, Dalmia, Utratech, Penna, JSW and Vicat Sagar Cement.

Cement Sustainability Initiative – India, at Zuari Cement – Yerraguntla Plant 
Mr. Stefano Gardi, Italcementi Group Head – Sustainable development, along with the senior executives took part in the Cement Sustainability Initiative – India, Safety Working Group meeting hosted by Zuari Cement on 3rd and 4th April at the Yerraguntla Plant.
Italcementi Group takes keen initiative in CSI activities; in 2013, Mr. Carlo Pesenti our CEO was appointed Co-Chairman of the CSI (Cement Sustainability Initiative) under the WBCSD (World Business Council for Sustainable Development).
